Combichrist is an industrial and electronic music band founded in 2003 by Norwegian musician Andy LaPlegua. Initially focused on aggrotech and EBM (Electronic Body Music), their debut album, The Joy of Gunz, established their aggressive, beat-driven sound. Over the years, the band gained recognition within the dark electronic scene, with their early works characterized by harsh vocals, pounding rhythms, and distorted synths.
The lineup of Combichrist has changed over time, with Andy LaPlegua being the only constant member. Notable musicians who have joined the band include Joe Letz on drums and Eric13 on guitar. Around the release of We Love You in 2014, Combichrist shifted from their purely electronic roots to a more guitar-heavy, industrial metal style, blending rock elements with their signature sound.
Combichrist's most well-known tracks include "Get Your Body Beat," "Never Surrender," and "What the F**k is Wrong with You?" These songs, along with albums like Today We Are All Demons and One Fire, have solidified their status in the industrial and dark electronic music scenes. The band continues to be active, touring extensively and releasing music that evolves while staying true to their roots.
